We are pleased to be offering today this wonderful set of 6 mahogany stained ribbon back style dining chairs that dates from the 1940s. They have been all restored. We have brought them into the shop to make sure they were tight, sanded down the old finish, re-stained them leaving the patina marks and applied multiple coats of satin sheen hand rubbed lacquer. It is a way of restoring the finish to provide years of carefree use, but still allowing the antique character to shine though as you can see from the photos of these wonderful chairs. You are getting all six for one money. They have four horizontal ribbon back slats in the back, flared solid mahogany back leg, H cross stretcher that holds the four legs together for strength and sturdiness and country Chippendale square leg, The chairs have needlepoint seat covers that have a /ox blood floral design seat covers and two floral blue seat covers. It was customary to have the master chairs a different color than the side chairs. The seat covers are in good condition considering their age, but they could probably use a good cleaning. The seat covers are easy to re-cover if you so desire with these slip seats. The overall size is 21 inches wide, 18 inches deep, 39 inches high and 18 inches high to the seat.
