We are pleased to be offering today this most unusual tiger sawn oak raised panel 33 drawer file cabinet that was most likely made by the Derby furniture company due to the moldings and handles, but I do not see any markings on it. It came out of an institution here on the east coast. It is in the original finish. It has 11 drawers on each of the three sections. Some of the drawers have dividers and some don’t, but they all have slots for dividers. The drawers are 13 inches wide, 22.5 inches deep and 4 inches high on the inside of each drawer. It has three pull out work trays above the #4 drawer on the way up. The nice thing about this cabinet is that all the hardware is there, which is rare as there are usually at least one or two missing. It has the screws and a slot on top to identify what is in the drawer. There is a brass tag that says telephone company 20968 on the tag, which I am assuming it must have come out of a phone company. It has all raised panel sides and the nice thing is the back is raised panel and it can be left out in sight. The overall size is 46 inches wide, 66 inches tall and 26 inches deep. The only thing I can see wrong with the cabinet is there is a sliver (about a ½ inch) on the front of the cabinet baseboard that I believe the cabinet maker can fix. There are two drawers that were not lined up properly when they were closed and they have a couple of small chips. One of the drawers must have had a lock as there is a plug where one could have been which is about the size of a dime. The pull out trays are 14 inches wide and approximately 24 inches deep. This is the first one of these cabinets I have seen in my over 50 years in the business. Shipping starts at $475 if you are in our normal area. Please contact us prior to purchase to confirm the shipping for your locale as this is an estimate.
